Board President
Jill is a senior manager for Starbucks Coffee with a strong background in project management. She grew up in the Bainbridge Island community and previously served on the Girls on the Run Puget Sound board for 6 years. Her interest with First Years is strengthening the foundation of this incredible organization providing important early education for children.

Amanda grew up on Bainbridge Island, and graduated from Central Washington University. She is branch manager at a local bank where she has worked for more than 14 years. Both of her children attended First Years, and Amanda wants to see First Years continue to provide quality care for years and years to come. In her free time she enjoys gardening, and spending time with her children and husband.

Lauren grew up on Bainbridge Island, lived in Seattle, and then returned to the Bainbridge Island area with her husband to raise their two children. Lauren is an elementary school teacher on the Island and is devoted to the safety, care, and best learning opportunities for young children in the community. Lauren joined the First Years board in September 2021 to help support the hard work and dedication she has seen from the First Years staff and to ensure affordable childcare options remain available on Bainbridge.

Claire is an employment attorney at Zillow Group, where she moved in house after several years as a litigator. Claire grew up on Bainbridge Island and moved back in 2015 after spending time in Minnesota and Massachusetts for college and law school. She has two young children at First Years, and is focused on increasing the availability and accessibility of childcare on Bainbridge.

Jeff is a senior product manager at Amazon, where he works on the Kids team. He moved to Bainbridge Island from Ballard in 2020 with his wife and young son who attends First Years. Jeff joined the First Years board in June 2021 and is looking forward to continuing First Years’ success in developing the young children of Bainbridge Island.

Jodi works as an administrative assistant at First Years Children’s Center. She has lived in the area most of her life and enjoys all the outdoor activities our beautiful community has to offer. She previously worked as the lead Preschool 2 teacher for over 5 years and has been at First Years for a total of 15 years. Jodi's focus is to provide her coworkers with the support they need in order to provide our families with the highest level of early childcare education and to help make our center a success.
