About Us
First Years Children's Center welcomes children ages 4 weeks until they begin kindergarten. We are open from 5:45 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Our preschool and pre-kindergarten programs operate from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with child care provided before and after. We offer the opportunity for our kids to take gymnastics classes, sports camps, and swimming lessons throughout the year. Along with walks to local parks and playgrounds, the library, beaches, and field trips on our bus! First Years has been caring for children on Bainbridge Island for over 20 years. In 2013 we became a non-profit child care facility, and are always looking for ways to be more active and present in our community on Bainbridge Island.
First Years Children's Center uses the program called Tadpoles. It's a great way to keep you connected with your child and the center all day long. Picking your child up early? Want to let us know what time your baby nursed last? Would you like to receive photos of your child participating in a class activity? You'll love Tadpoles; send us notes, keep track of your child's schedule before and during school, and receive photos of your little one with your daily sheet via email!
If your child attends our center, you can either visit the website below and login, or you can download the app to your phone or tablet through iTunes or Google Play Store.
Tadpoles is the program we use to keep track of the children's daily sheets, and checking in and out. Your family will have access to Tadpoles when you enroll with First Years. You can access it through the link above, or download the app though Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.
First Years Children's Center participates in the Early Achievers program. Our most recent rating was given in February 2018, and we proudly received another 3.
